Common questions about applying, partnership models, listing and incubation. Can't find your answer? DM us on X.

Applying
I only have an idea and no team yet. Can I apply?

Yes. Venture Build is designed for idea-stage projects. We will assess the direction together and help assemble a core team when needed.

What materials do I need?

A short project introduction is enough: the problem you're solving, your team, and your current progress. No full business plan required.

How long until I hear back?

We read every submission carefully and will reach out after our assessment.

Do you only look at specific sectors?

We focus on Web3, with emphasis on DeFi and on-chain protocols, infrastructure and tooling, AI × Web3, and consumer apps and communities. Strong projects in other Web3 areas are also welcome.

Partnership
Does notalabs take equity in projects?

Venture Build is typically equity-based; Co-Build terms are agreed per project and may include service fees, equity or a mix. Specific terms are set during assessment.

Who owns the project's intellectual property?

The project owns its intellectual property, and this is set out explicitly in our partnership agreement.

Who decides the project's direction?

The founders. We give clear judgment and recommendations, but final decisions rest with the founding team.

Can the partnership model change midway?

Yes. Co-Build can convert to Venture Build, and both sides reassess the engagement at the end of each stage.

Listing & Liquidity
Can incubated projects list on NodeXX?

Eligible projects can enter the NodeXX listing review track. Whether a project is ultimately listed is assessed and decided independently by NodeXX under its own listing standards.

Do you provide liquidity support?

Yes. Depending on the project, we introduce market making and liquidity solutions, with specific arrangements set during the launch stage.

Does every project need to issue a token?

Not necessarily. Whether and when to issue a token depends on the project's model, and we will advise during assessment.

Execution
How long does incubation usually take?

It depends on the project's stage and complexity. At the end of assessment, we provide a plan and timeline for each stage.

How does your team work with ours?

The joint project team syncs with the founding team weekly, uses shared task and documentation tools, and reviews key milestones together.

Do you keep supporting after launch?

Yes. In the growth stage we continue to support data, operations and fundraising until the project can stand on its own.
